One of my favorite moments in film is the beginning of the movie Hoosiers. The camera focuses on an almost-forgotten framed photograph in an empty high school gym and introduces a story of a state championship that impacted the players as well as the entire community. As schools consolidate and small towns fade, dusty pictures just like this one are put away or lost, but our memories remain. This blog is dedicated to all those great Upper Ohio Valley high schools with their teams and mascots that are not there anymore. The list is by no means complete, and that is where you come in. With a post to this page, add a school or a memorable moment.
